History. Not this year's record, but a comparison after recording. Dota 2 hasn't been played since 2022; actually, I stopped playing much since 2018 or even 2014. Before, I used to play with classmates and friends, using YY voice to connect for Dota. I remember to save money, I bought an aux cable to use my iPhone 4 as a microphone. The Blizzard platform data only has Hearthstone. Overwatch, Diablo, and StarCraft 2 are all gone (I haven't returned yet). For the mini-games I've played, NeoDB - acevs records some of them. I found that Bluesky can also log in to NeoDB. It seems that there is an option to merge accounts.

After getting online, I started to enjoy playing games with others, from local area networks to the internet, from Red Alert to Civilization 6. My favorite is still action RTS, simple and straightforward, focusing all attention for the duration of a game, heart racing like a professional NBA player's heartbeat, because I have too many hobbies and want to try everything, like World of Warcraft, The Witcher, Assassin's Creed, Cave, Fallout, and other RPGs, I basically gave up on them. Because, like reading, it requires long-term focus.

This year, I started reading about virtual worlds, transitioning smoothly from RPG games to reading. The earliest virtual reality technology should be language, commonly known as "drawing big pancakes," and then came text. I previously mentioned it was text, but I need to correct that.

I played 60 matches. Of course, it's just on the KK platform. The Sky platform has shut down, and I uninstalled it without screenshots. I mentioned it before.
I dropped from Silver III to Silver I; every time I play one to three matches, the failure rate is high. If I keep failing, I wonder if I will stop playing? I'm not very skilled but have a strong desire to play. It might also be that I'm not in the right state. Haha.
Additionally, there is no learning or reviewing in the game; previously, when my win rate was high, I would review after losses and study. Now it's all based on luck. I play casually. My hand speed has also declined. It's down to an average of 112. For action RTS, that's considered low.
My opponents are generally around 30 years old. They are all veteran players.

I hope to play more Civilization VI and win a match before the New Year. It is said that a match takes about 10 hours. I've played for three hours and still feel like I'm in the village phase. Learning has indeed taken a lot of time.
There are five victory conditions:

  • Religion
  • Culture
  • Domination
  • Science
  • Score
Just looking at this, you can tell this game is quite interesting, right?
It emphasizes learning and analysis; there are many details just about the location of the main city, such as freshwater, luxury goods, residents, minerals, etc. What is the optimal solution for the main city's three-ring placement? Without studying, I really wouldn't know.
